The Problem:

Sulfation is the accumulation of extremely hard lead sulfate crystals due to lack of maintenance, incorrect charging, or inactivity of lead-acid batteries. These crystals can develop rapidly and cannot be broken down by standard charging alone. This causes the battery to need more frequent charging and lose its ability to be fully charged. It also shortens the run time of your equipment and raises labor costs. As the sulfation increases, so does your need to replace your batteries.
